Meaning connects to your marketing platforms via OAuth — a secure authentication flow where you sign in directly with the platform. Meaning never sees or stores your password.
How to Connect
- Open the Connections panel from the sidebar (the plug icon).
- Click the platform you want to connect.
- Sign in with your platform credentials when prompted.
- Select the specific account or property you want to link.
That's it. Data starts syncing immediately.

Data Backfill
When you first connect a platform, Meaning backfills your historical data automatically. The exact backfill period depends on the platform and the data available in your account.
You can start querying immediately — the data available so far is queryable while the rest backfills in the background.
Manual Re-sync
Data syncs automatically every day. If you need fresher data, click the re-sync button in the Connections panel to trigger an immediate sync.
Multiple Properties
You can connect multiple properties from the same platform. For example, if you manage three GA4 properties for different websites, connect all three and query across them from a single chat.
